Crack the case with science.
Solve the differential diagnosis for a series of puzzling symptoms in a medical hybrid of House, M.D and Grey's Anatomy.
Learn about eleven human body systems by investigating fictitious patient files to determine their diseases. Use critical-thinking and deductive reasoning to eliminate misleading symptoms, select a diagnosis and recommend a cure.
This workshop challenges participants to hone their research and inquiry skills and covers National Science Standards for Life Science content standard C as well as Biology Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) related to body systems.

About the Instructor
Mandy Biggers is the outreach coordinator for the Center for the Integration of Science and Education Research (CISER) at Texas Tech University. An experienced 7-12 grade teacher, Mandy specializes in secondary education, curriculum development and teacher professional development.
Mandy holds a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing her doctorate. She is a leading trainer for Texas in both GLOBE and FOSS.
This summer will be Mandy's first year to train teachers with the T-STEM Center.
