Talkmitt Receives 2007 Skoog Cup

Susan Talkmitt, the associate director of curriculum and instruction for the T-STEM Center, was named the 2007 Skoog Cup recipent by Texas science educators for her significant contributions to science education.
Halliburton Awards Grant to T-STEM Center

Recognizing a university-level commitment to K-12 science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, Halliburton has awarded the Texas Tech University T-STEM Center $30,000 in foundation funding to continue the center's outreach efforts.

Center Receives State Engineering and Science Recruitment Grant

The Texas Tech University T-STEM Center has received $29,700 in funding from the Texas Education Agency to develop curriculum materials, teacher training opportunities and education support resources to increase the recruitment of women and minorities into engineering and science programs at Texas institutions of higher education.
Dunbar Middle School Named NASA Explorer School

Dunbar Middle School, a Texas Tech University T-STEM Center partner, has been named one of 26 new NASA Explorer Schools, a distinction that includes $17,500 in funding and a three-year partnership with NASA.
